FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything You Need to Know
How long does custom editing take?
Most single song edits are completed within 3–5 business days. Complex mashups or multiple songs may take 7–10 days. Rush service is available for an additional fee if you need edits completed sooner.
What if I don't like the first version?
All custom editing includes two rounds of revisions at no extra charge. We work together until you're completely satisfied with the result. My goal is to create exactly what you envisioned.
Can you edit any song?
Yes! Whether it's classical, pop, rock, country, hip-hop, or any other genre, I can edit it. The only limitation is the quality of the source audio—higher quality originals produce better results.
What format will I receive the edited song in?
You'll receive a high-quality WAV file and an MP3 version. If you need other formats (FLAC, AIFF, etc.), just let me know and I'll provide those as well.
How much does custom song editing cost?
Pricing varies based on complexity. Simple length adjustments start at $50 per song. More complex edits, mashups, and multi-song projects are quoted individually based on the work involved. Contact me for a specific quote.
Do I need to provide the song files?
Just tell me the song title and artist—I’ll source high-quality audio files to work with. If you have a specific version or remix you want edited, you're welcome to provide it.
Can you make a slow song faster or a fast song slower?
Absolutely! I can adjust tempo up or down by about 20% while maintaining natural sound quality. More extreme changes are possible but may affect the audio quality depending on the song.
Is this service only for weddings?
Not at all! While many requests are wedding-related, I edit songs for all occasions—corporate events, performances, personal projects, dance recitals, competitions, and more. Whatever you need, I can help.
Will the editing sound natural or obvious?
Professional editing should be seamless and undetectable to the average listener. I use industry-standard software and techniques to ensure all cuts, transitions, and adjustments sound smooth and natural.
Can I use the edited song after my event?
Yes! The edited file is yours to keep and use for personal purposes. However, please note that the underlying song is still copyrighted by the original artist/label, so commercial use or redistribution isn't permitted.
